Today I narrate Ian Richardson's thoughts on growing up watching Sherlock Holmes films, and also what he thought of Basil Rathbone in the role. Richardson, of course, would go on to play the role himself in 2 feature films. He would also wind up playing Dr. Joseph Bell in the TV Series 'Murder Rooms'. Bell was a tutor to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and, many feel, was the blue print Doyle would end up basing Sherlock Holmes on.
