Today we have the 1st episode of a 2nd Series of "All Quiet on The Holmes Front" - a series of silent films adapted from the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

After a workplace affair leaves the career of archaeologist Dr. Kennedy hanging by a thread, he will need the biggest find of his life to redeem himself. Maybe his old friend Julius can help? Adapted from the story "The New Catacomb" (a.k.a Burger's Secret).  With John Rittey, Louis Mackenzie, and Heather Russell-Kay.

This film was previously made as a colour "talkie" under the title "The Truth Lies Within". (2019).

Jeremy Brett on Why Watson Does Not Marry Mary Morstan in The Granada Series

Today I narrate Jeremy's thoughts on why Watson does not marry Mary Morstan in the Granada series.  What is interesting about this one, while it was a producer led decision, Jeremy did agree with it, and did not exercise his normal insistance for Canon accuracy on this occasion.

Jeremy Brett on Why He Hated 'The Eligible Bachelor"

Today I narrate Jeremy Brett's thoughts on the episode 'The Eligible Batchelor'. This one, while recieved better than 'The Last Vampyre', is still considered a rather weak episode. At the time of filming, Jeremy had some reservations, but still actually had some excitement for it. It was largely thought this more to do with being happy that he was back filming than anything else. He would later withdraw that enthuasiam when interviewed about it after the fact. Note: The narration for this one is constructed from two seperate interviews.

The Last Vampyre is largely regarded as a very weak point in the Granada Sherlock Holmes TV series, and it seems Jeremy Brett was no fan of it either. Today I narrate his thoughts on why the episode was so poor, and what he disliked so much about it.
