Today we have a poster for the upcoming short film "The Terror at Blue John Gap".
Check back this weekend to view a trailer! Today we have a 2nd set of photos for the upcoming short film "The Terror at Blue John Gap" - an adaptation of the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle tale "Blue John Gap." Similar to the recent Professor Challenger film, the piece is set within the NPLH universe, and acts as a precursor to events seen in the first episode, as well as the upcoming 8th series. The film is currently scheduled for a Summer release date. Today sees the release of The Truth Lies Within. A short film adaption of The New Catacomb by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. After a workplace affair leaves the career of archaeologist Dr. Kennedy hanging by a thread, he will need the biggest find of his life to redeem himself. Maybe his old friend Julius can help? The story was first published in The Sunlight Year-Book in 1898 under the title Burger's Secret, but later became known as The New Catacomb. John Rittey, Louis MacKenzie, Heather Russell-Kay, and Philip Bubb star. ![]() 9 years ago today, the first NPLH episode came out! I think that means that I should probably make some sort of statement, but I am not sure what I am meant to say. I would be lying if I said that I had no idea that I would still be doing it all this time later. I had set out to make the show over a ten year period. Which, in hindsight, was sort of ridiculous given that I had never directed/edited or produced at that point. Yet, here I still am doing this, and more. It is very hard to fully explain all that it means to me, but it is not an exaggeration to say that it changed my life for the better. By no means overnight, but incremental. It has seen some amazing people come and go into my life, was my training ground for so many aspects of the film word, and brought me into contact with passionate and interesting Holmesians around the world. It led to me having an audiobook, invites to Sherlockian events, being sent way too many Sherlock Holmes books than I can ever read in a lifetime, and autograph requests from all over the globe. I am just excited, if not more, than when I first started. There are many more documentaries to make, mysteries to solve, and oft overlooked work by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle that I still wish to adapt and share with the world. And lots more too, I am sure. Thank you for everyone who has watched, shared, liked, commented, and cared for my content nearly a decade on from when I first started. Ever so sincerely yours, Ross K.
