The play is set in 1914 upon the brink of the 1st World War .
Howard himself was privileged enough to be a guest of honor at the opening showing and reports that "It was an enjoyable production, The main settings were 221b and the Suicide Club . It is mostly a dialogue play with Holmes having upwards of 70% of the dialogue which made it an extremely tough part to play. Debaun plays a creditable Holmes (sans pipe or deerstalker) and Walkuski shines as Watson, you would have thought he was Nigel Bruce reincarnated. Watson's humorous moments were an essential balance to a play discussing suicides, and an upcoming war. The familiar characters of Mrs. Hudson and Mycroft Holmes also make appearances.
But be prepared for a long time seated though as it is a long play running to just under 2 1/2 hours, which I felt dragged out a little bit too much in the final scenes in it's explanations to the crowd of how and what occurred. However, a lot of that may have been necessary for the attendees not quite as clued up on the methods of Holmes. An enjoyable evening all around and I do recommend catching the play when it is in an area near you".
The play runs untill April 27th in Orlando and will also be performed in Houston,Texas in June, and a local group in Minneapolis, Minnesota. in August.
